Invicta Films

Film and television production company founded in 2011, led by producer Javier González-Rubio. We create local content with international reach, drawing on more than 15 years in the industry and collaborations with Focus Features, Lakeshore Entertainment, Participant, Cinépolis, Amazon and Warner Media.

We’ve taken part in commercially successful productions (Under the Same Moon, When the Kids Are Back), critically acclaimed films (Sin Nombre), genre titles (The Exorcism of Carmen Farías), dramas (Ana’s Desire), documentary (The Quest for Education) and docuseries (The Taste of the Trades), among others.

We also offer production services for international projects shooting in Mexico and accessing the country’s fiscal incentives.

Javier González-Rubio

Javier González-Rubio

Producer · Founder

Javier holds an MFA in Producing from the American Film Institute. He oversees development and production of Invicta's film, television, music and publishing projects and evaluates strategic joint ventures, investment and partnership opportunities. Credits include Patricia Riggen's Under the Same Moon (Sundance, 2007), Cary Fukunaga's Sin Nombre (Sundance, 2009) and Development & Acquisitions at Focus Features.

Fernanda Medina

Fernanda Medina

Associate Producer

Production Coordinator at Invicta Films, she has been associate producer/production coordinator on The Exorcism of Carmen Farías, producer of the Ariel-nominated short film Arreglo Napolitano, and production coordinator on Netflix, Star+, Draco Films and other projects. Jury member for a national short-film competition, art and wardrobe coordinator. She studied Advertising at Universidad de la Comunicación.

Elisabeth Lastschenko

Development Executive

Elisabeth is a script reader for Invicta Films. A firm believer in the power of narrative, she works with the team to select and develop stories for the screen. She holds a BA in Cultural Studies from University of the Arts London and has lived in Mexico for over ten years working in international arts and culture project management, with a focus on the performing arts.

Damián Córdoba

Damián Córdoba

Producer

Producer at Invicta Films and an attorney specialized in entertainment and audiovisual media, with production training from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. His experience includes projects approved by FOCINE, EFICINE and EFIARTES, as well as productions for Netflix and Amazon Prime. He has also collaborated with government agencies on the regulation and support of audiovisual production.

Katia Guillén

Katia Guillén

Executive Assistant

Katia is part of the Invicta Films team as Executive Assistant to Javier González-Rubio. Her work centers on the administrative and operational coordination that supports the development of audiovisual projects and the company's strategic activities. With experience in operations management, executive scheduling and remote-team coordination, she helps processes run efficiently and ensures every project moves forward with order and attention to detail.
